OBDSTAR MQB All Keys Lost RH850/V850 Adapter Full Kit FAQ

Q: Volkswagen IMMO V specifically refers to which models?

A: Volkswagen IMMO V contains BCM2, MQB, MLB, of which MQB is divided into MQB5A, MQB5B, MQB5C;

MQB5A is the first generation variation on the MQB, the dashboard comes with V850(D70F35XX) processsor and the key comes with Megamos-AES ID88 transponder;

MQB5B is the second generation variation on the MQB, the dashboard comes with RH850 (R7F701401, R7F701402, R7F701407) processor, but the transponder comes with Megamos-AES ID88, the process is basically the same as MQB5A;

MQB5C is the third generation variation on the MQB, the dashboard comes with RH850 processor, and the dashboard has a crypto core which currently prevents the world from freely programming keys to this car type, the transponder uses Hitag-Pro (ID5C), MQB5C related IMMO functions are under development.

Q: How to read VW MQB48-5A/5B(ID88) dashboard data, need to remove the components?

A: Components removing free, use C4-06 adapter according to the PCB Pinout provided by the device to solder the wire to read the data.

Q: How to indentify the MQB48-5A/5B (ID88) and MQB49-5C (ID5C) dashboard types?

A: 1) MQB48-5A/5B(ID88), MQB49-5C(ID5C) dashboard types can be automatically recognized by OBD.

2) Disassemble the dashboard to confirm the dashboard type by the PCB silkscreen, such as the silkscreen start with“EM” , it stands for MQB48-5A/5B(ID88) dashboard, and “PCJ” stands for MQB48-5A/5B(ID88) dashboard.

obdstar mqb rh850 v850 kit

Q: Does MQB support type 5C?

A: MQB49-5C(ID5C) is not supported at this time and is still under development.

Q: Why does the RH850/V850 adapter full kit have so many accessories?

A: Because RH850/V850 adapter full kit supports multiple MCU models to read/write data(with fullly coverage and good stability, so the R&D cost and BOM cost will be much higher), for example, it supports VW MQB48-5A encrypted dashboard data reading; Ford/Lincoln 2021-key programming (including all keys lost) encrypted BCM data reading; Nissan/Renault key programming (including all keys lost) encrypted HFM, BCM data reading; FCA key programming (upcoming upgrade) encrypted BCM data reading; Toyota, Subaru, domestic encrypted airbag data R/W, crash erase.

Q: What does the MQB Collector do?

A: The ELV module can be used directly through the dashboard connector to collect ELV/TCM authentication data and upload it to the server to calculate the ELV IMMO data without removing the ELV module.

Note: If you encounter the ECM, TCM is non-original, such as replacing used module and not programmed online at the dealer service station or IMMO OFF directly, you will not be able to calculate the 32-byte synchronization code!

Q: Is MQB Collector necessary for AKL?

A: Not necessary, but it takes longer time, you need to remove the ELV module, read the D70F3624 ELV data and encrypt the IMMO data through the MP001 programmer and C4-06 adapter (SPC560 will be upgraded soon, which supports using third-party devices to read the data). Note: ELV module in the steering column is difficult to disassemble, it is recommended to use the MQB Collector, efficient and safe!

Q: Does the MQB48-5A/5B(ID88) blade key and proximity key both support all keys lost synchronization code calculation?

A: Yes, the difference is that the proximity key needs to collect ELV module data.

Q: How to get the synchronization code?

A: Blade key: 32-byte synchronization code is calculated by loading dashboard CS code + ECM CS code + TCM CS code and uploading it to the server.

Proximity key: 32-byte synchronization code is calculated by loading dashboard CS code + ECM CS code + TCM CS code + ELV CS code and uploading it to the server.

Q: Is there a charge for synchronized code calculation?

A: Synchronization code calculation uses independent servers, free calculation, and supports 24 hours online calculating synchronized code, reducing the cost of locksmiths.

Q: Is the other accessories except RH850/V850 adapter kit necessary for ECU Flasher function??

A: It is highly recommended to buy other accessories combine with RH850/V850 adapter kit, otherwise you need to remove the ECM/ELV/TCM module to read the data by BENCH mode.

Q: Is it compatible with third-party devices?

A: It supports loading the unencrypted data read by a third party. Please consult the third party if the file is encrypted.

Q: What ECU models are not supported?

A: MED17.1.27, MED17.1.62, MED17.16, MG1CS001, MG1CS111, SIMOS16 and MG1CS011.
