ALIENTECH Kess V3 must work with its unique software Alientech Suite. Follow this post to register an account to download the software and install it easily.

1.Click “CUSTOMER AREA” at the top-right corner

3.Input the corresponding personal info incl. user name, e-mail address, password, and language correctly to create ALIENTECH ID
Click “Next”

You will receive an activation email from Alientech company. Click “Activate now”to activate your ALIEN_ID.

Where to download Kess V3 Software?

1.After the registration and activation are completed, login with your email address and password.

2.Find KESS3 and click AlientechSuite_Setup to download the software

3.How to install ALIENTECH Suite software?

After downloading, launch the installer, and follow the prompt to install easily.

After the installation is finished, connect Kess V3 ECU programmer and computer via the USB cable, and run Alientech-Suite application on the desktop to use normally.

PART One: Kess V3 vs.Kess V2 vs. Ktag

Kess3 is the only one ECU programmer supporting OBD, Boot, and BENCH connection.

It has two versions: Master and Slave. Users can update from Slave version to Master version, but others cannot.

A single flexible device that can be configured as required, when the tool is initialized, you can choose the mode of operation.

Master version: The configuration that allows you to edit software calibrations in a completely autonomous way. The read files can be interpreted by your choice of remapping software.
Slave version: If you are not confident yet or sufficiently autonomous in editing software calibrations, thanks to this mode you can work with a network of trainers who will support you file requirements.

How to Fix Foxflash “Excute Download with DFBTech_Update” Error

Some customers reported that when they try to download foxflash software to a new computer but showed this message:

Solution:
Ensure
1. Defender off

2.Data/time sync off(when you click Activate your time should go to 00:00 or 12:00)

3.Have a good internet connection

4.Ensure Foxflash is connected with both USB and 12 V power

5.Check windows device manager that your foxflash is showing as installed.

6.Check if there is “version.dll” file in dfb folder. Make sure anti-virus software do not kill the file.

if the file was killed, download version.dll file then paste it to following folder(MUST DISABLE Anti-Virus Programms)
/Program Files(X86)/Foxflash Manager/Foxflash/DFB Technology

if did all above but without luck, please do a full re-install.

Delete all existing dfb files,download all gain, something blocks the software.

Disconnect the interface and click download, then restart Foxflash manager and the tool’s software.

KESS V2 V5.017 can read and write ECU via OBD2 port directly, no need to disassemble the ECU from the car.
Covering all major brands and protocols including Line, KAN, EDC17 and MED17 and for Ford J1850.
But there have some customers dont know how to install the software , today lets check the instructions as following steps :

Attention : Please remember to disconnect all Internet work before installation
1.Open KSuite 2.23 (E:) and run “ksuite_222_v2” exe

To complete the setup, click “Next”, “Next” then “Install”

2.It will pop up a Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 License Terms, click “Yes” to continue

Select language as “U.S English”

Click “Next” until “Finish” to complete Ksuite 2.22 setup wizard

And choose “English”

3.Back to KSuite 2.23 (E:) and open “Ksuite 2.23” folder
Right click the “K-Suite” shortcut on desktop to choose “K-Suite Properties”

Delete all files in “KSuite” folder

Then copy all files in “Ksuite 2.23” folder to “KSuite” folder
4.Now it will pop up a Found New Hardware Wizard
Click “Next” then “Finish”

After that the USB Device is exist. (You can right click “My Computer”→ “Manage”→ “Device Manager”)

Open K-Suite shortcut and now it’s Ksuite 2.23 software

5.Click “Info” button and check the firmware version is 5.017
Now installation is complete, you can use this new KESS V2 FW 5.017 Ksuite 2.23 for ECU chip tuning

6. disconnect your foxflash tool , then plugin the usb again
7. click the foxflash manager app active button till actived , then run the foxFlash app in your desktop , then input the password at the windows ,click login .

8. Close your software : click the close button on foxFlash Manager app , then click the foxflash exit button , you totally close ours tool and software .

9. notiy , always run foxflash manager app each time when you need use ours tool
Run it then click the active button , it will keep let the tool access ours server .

I failed to install Fetrotech Tool software msi on Win10.

Error:

‘There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run’

If getting an Error please just reply with PC details i.e. WIN10, administrator, anti-virus and real time off, Dot net framework 4.8 installed etc

Better don’t install software on Win10 Home edition, Win10 professional 64bit is recommended.

If still gives this error, try the solution below:

1. Open computer Task Manager -> File -> Run A New Task
